My Bridesmaid Dress!

This month's project has been so much fun!
As some of you know, my eldest sister is getting married within the second week of October, and as one of her sisters, I am going to be a bridesmaid. She selected the crossover gown from the regency period for the dresses and a beautiful copper colored (supposed to be a burnt orange actually) silk taffeta for the fabric. She is having an old-fashioned sort of theme for the outfits because she loves antique-looking and also the Jane Austin type period clothing. SO, we've begun making our dresses in the past few weeks!

I've gotten almost finished with the bodice on mine and so I thought I'd share some pictures with you all on what the dress looks like at present. :)

Enjoy!

My sister snapped some pics of me working before I got the camera ;)

Hope you can see it coming along! I'll be sure to post pics of the finished work and when the wedding comes around I'll probably get a hold of some pictures of us all and post them on here too. :)

God bless!
