I can't believe that the day after tomorrow is my sister's wedding. She'll be a married woman, taking on so many huge responsibilities I watched my mom carry the weight of for years. One day, even, if the Lord decides to bless her and her husband: they might even have the wonderful joy of becoming parents.
As I see how God worked in my sister's (and her fiance's) life to bring her and this man together, it's neat to try to peek forward in time to when my other older brothers and sister might have their turn...and hopefully my turn too. :) We all have seen how patiently, though sometimes restlessly, my sister waited on the Lord to bring just the right person. Each time, she had to ask herself, and God whether this man was the one, or this one...but finally, God opened up a long-awaited path for her to walk on. Something she had been preparing herself for, because of her faith that God had a wedding story written out for her.
Now that the day approaches, she marvels at how God has worked. It's so amazing and wonderful; so beautiful and glorious to have God's hand on your life, allowing him to take control and lead you. He always shows himself faithful. He has proven to me so often and repeatedly that HE is in control, not I, not the devil, not anyone or anything else. I love Him even more for who He is in my life and the lives around me.
These times are not easy for my family and me. I don't know if I'm ready to share with the world the inner struggles of my family, but I know that I can share a prayer. If you could pray for my family to be strengthened and uplifted, to be pulled together and not torn...I would thank you.
I didn't get a chance before to post pictures of my dress now that it's finished. So! Here they are. I hope you enjoy and have a blessed day. :)
