I recently finished a book, co-written with a penpal of mine! I was so excited for the opportunity to get it printed out. Not by a publisher, but by my family and I. My Dad is also a writer and majored in English. He does editing for a part-time job when he gets the opportunity to.
Anyway, he has "home-published" his own books before (and a few have actually been published!), so he and my older sister helped me get it printed!
I never realized how much worked it takes to publish a book, but we did it.
You can't imagine how cool it is to hold in your hands a book you wrote (with a friend) that is in PRINT!!
Enough of my proud satisfaction...
